What are Sundays made for?
It’s an age-old question, with answers varying from family days out, alone time, to relaxation and – in extreme cases – catching up on work!
But at the Colonial, we’ve got a slightly different response… Sundays are for Roasts on the Coasts!
The weather is getting cooler, which also means that the seasons are getting cosier. Huddle together your family and friends this autumn and enjoy spectacular meals with equally spectacular views.
Every Sunday, we’re offering you the perfect excuse to indulge in something truly delicious – a two-course roast at £22, or an above-and-beyond three-course roast for £25. Beats making a mess and washing-up yourself, right?
Start out with the soup of the day, lobster arancini or some tasty chilli sambal chicken wings.
Then, get ready for the main event – the roast! Choose from a vegan beetroot wellington, beef brisket, or chicken supreme. All options are served alongside: yorkshire pudding, honey glazed parsnips, rosemary roast potatoes, carrot and swede mash, cauli cheese bake and gravy. We told you, it’s the real deal!
For those opting for a little extra indulgence (it’s Sunday – you deserve it!), our dessert menu is sure to get those taste buds tingling. We’ve got a Classic Colonial rum cake, passionfruit tart, salted caramel and chocolate torte or ice cream, served in a variety of flavours. Like we said, there’s something for everyone!
Our main dishes are pretty great on their own, but why not make them even more unforgettable by adding a selection of sides? We’ve got: pigs in blankets, buttered tenderstem, braised red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, padron peppers and chantenay carrots. Select one for £5, or combine three for only £12 – it’s a no-brainer!
Many of our lovely guests are here to share special memories with the whole family, so don’t worry – we haven’t forgotten your little ones. We have a specially adapted child-friendly menu, at £12 for two courses of £15 for three. Tested and loved by a number of little diners here at the Colonial, it’s sure to go down a treat.
