In case you didn’t know, Newquay is actually the UK’s surf capital – and for good reason.

5. Head to the Harbour
Brimming with character and history, a trip to Newquay Harbour is a fantastic way to spend the afternoon.
This charming spot offers up a range of fun activities to enjoy. You can opt to simply relax on the cosy beach with ice cream and watch the fishing boats pass by or enjoy some delicious local food in one of the lovely independent restaurants.
There are also some lovely bars and shops to explore – and if you’re feeling adventurous, you can also book yourselves a fishing trip!
6. Spend the Day at the Zoo
Newquay is also home to Cornwall’s largest zoo!

In the Waterworld Leisure Centre, you’ll also find a gym, fitness classes and a swimming pool (including a kid’s pool fitted with slides).
