In true British style, summer this year has been… well, not very summery!

Jokes aside, we’ve managed to make the most of these past few months, despite the rainy days. Between long coastal walks, summer surf sessions and family days on the beach, it’s been a busy and exciting time at Tolcarne.

And whilst we’re sad to see it go, there’s plenty more to look forward to. In fact, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a lovely Indian Summer!

For those not familiar with the term, ‘Indian summer’ refers to a period of warm, dry weather characteristic of autumn in the northern hemisphere. With a bit of luck, temperatures may even be higher than our actual summer…

Picture this: autumn leaves falling, bright orange sunsets over the beach, and cosy evenings with glasses of wine served in hot tubs. It’s a beautiful and picturesque time of year, particularly down by the Cornish coast.

Plus, with the back-to-school season in full swing, beaches will be emptier and it’ll be easier than ever to find some much-needed relaxation. Newquay has plenty of hidden gems, and many of our beaches are tucked away – ready to be explored.
